Storybook Reading at the Maritime
Stop by the Maritime each week for a Storybook reading of Edward Ardizzone’s series of children’s books. First published in 1936, Little Tim and the Brave Sea Captain, as well as the other eleven titles, features gorgeous watercolors and a lively story that have enthralled generations of readers. See what Tim’s next adventure will be in his small maritime village at the turn of the century. Times to be announced.

Canoe & Quilt Raffle
Raffle tickets available at businesses throughout the Hessel and Cedarville area, including each weekend at Cedarville Foods, and also the Historical and Maritime Museums. View this year’s quilt, “Nautical Pinwheels” at the History Museum, and the 17’ Wood-Canvas Penobscot Canoe (Master Craftsman - Paul Wilson) at the Maritime Museum. Drawing Sunday, Sept. 6th 2009.
