Special Programs
Summer 2012

"The Art of the Kitchen"
Michigan Quilt Artist Invitational will be displayed throughout July and August. This very special display brings together the work of Michigan artists who are committed to using quilting as a form of visual expression.

Canoe and Quilt raffle tickets are available throughout the summer season. You will find them at businesses around the community and at both museums.

The quilt is an Embroidered Flowers done in Redwork design, it was pieced and hand quilted by the Les Cheneaux Quilters Guild.

The Wood Duck Hybrid Kayak was built by Paul Wilson and his crew, Robert A. Smith (Lakeside Bob) and Mike Jellison.

We would like to thank the Michigan Council of the Arts and Cultural Affairs for their support for the Artist of the Week, Music at the Maritime and the Speaker Series.

Both programs are well attended and appreciated by the community.

Thank You!.
